A concentrated cat leapt out of its skin after getting startled by a sudden noise.

Kitten Maverick, four, was contemplating something on the bathroom floor in his house in Urbandale, Iowa, when owner Riley McCarthy, 21, made a noise by moving her foot.

Maverick dramatically leapt into the air with terror at the unexpected sound much to Riley’s amusement.

Riley said: “I moved my foot while he was sniffing something on the floor and he freak out.

“He’s normally quite calm so this is definitely an exception.

“I laughed so hard.”
