A loved up duo have claimed to be ‘UK’s fittest couple’ after spending over £30,000 to fund their extreme healthy lifestyle.

The impressive pair have invested not only time, but money into what has become an extreme lifestyle – Emily has spent over £5000 on bodybuilding competitions alone, including her outfits, registrations and coaching, with Ross also spending over £2000.

After they began dating in June 2016, Emily and Ross have completely transformed their bodies to become toned and stronger – with over 16 workouts per week, giving themselves only ONE rest day.

The pair now estimate that they’ve spent over £30k on their lifestyle – which includes setting up their own fitness camp, educating themselves in the fitness sector and their body building expenses.

Emily said: “Working, living, training and eating with Ross makes the relationship stronger.

“We motivate each other and it makes me more committed to my fitness levels.

“We often get referred to as the UK’s fittest couple from people we help and the competitions, but we remain humbled by the many incredible athletes and fitness professionals in the UK, all of whom we look up to.

“Physically, there are other couples who are fitter, but we eat, sleep and breathe this industry.

“We change lives through fitness so we’re happy to take the title.

“Day one sees me training legs, then day two is shoulders, chest and triceps, before day three becomes glutes and hamstrings.

“Day four I rest. Then it’s back and biceps, before day six kicks off with glutes and hamstrings, before day seven becomes upper body circuit.

“Ross’s routine is more simplified – Day one, push, day two, pull, day three, legs and day four, rest. Then repeat.”

The fitness duo now run their own fitness camp known as Body Transformation Academy, in Chatham, Kent, in the hope to inspire others.

Ross Cowan, said, “Fitness is now a lifestyle – we train, we eat, we work together – I’m now a strong 12 and a half stone.

“Before I was eight and a half stone till I was 21 years old and had no confidence.

“Then after beginning to train as a personal trainer, I met Emily and it was an instant, really good connection.

“Emily’s success at body building inspired me – she weight trains every day, and has HIIT cardio four times a week.”

The happy duo’s dedication paid off, as they took home silver for Pure Elite World Championships Couples 2017 – an impressive feat for a pair only in their first year of competing.

Emily even managed to snag Pure Elite World Championships Fitness Model 2016 when she initially began, competing solo.

Tackling a brutal training and diet regime, the pair are wholly committed to taking their fitness levels to the max.

Emily and Ross’s standard training regimes include only one rest day, with the schedule shifting to become even more intense when they approach competition time.

Emily said, “The couple are determined to keep improving however, and their dedication is an impressive feat not everyone can pull off – Emily has three first place awards at world championship level, and Ross – who started competing only last year already has one.
