Incredible aerial footage of Southwestern US makes look the terrain look like the planet Mars.
In early April, Andrew Studer, 23, from Portland, Oregon, flew his drone over barren land in Arizona and Utah as model Kyle Hague walked through it wearing a spacesuit.
The complete absence of vegetation, the dunes and the dim ochre colour of the landscape made this stretch of American country strikingly resemble that of the red planet.
Andrew said: “This project was inspired by my admiration for the incredibly dynamic and unique landscapes in the American Southwest.
“My intention with this project was not to necessarily focus on the astronaut, but rather to showcase the otherworldly scenery found in Southwestern America’s public lands in hopes of protecting them.
“When I’m visiting locations such as these, I not only have feelings of admiration and appreciation for the unique land, but also a strong sense of being wild that I believe to be so enriching and something everyone should have the opportunity to experience.”
