Forget a game of Ice and Fire, this baker painstakingly decorated a game of icing and fire when she created the face of Daenarys from Game of Thrones.
Katherine Dey, from New York, turned a humble pile of German chocolate cake, coconut pecan filling and chocolate meringue buttercream into a lifelike version of the Mother of Dragons from the hit HBO show.
Along with Jenne Cooper, the 33-year-old owner of Deviant Desserts, slowly but surely built up the decadent dessert with layer upon layer of sponge.
After almost a week of work, she ended up with an amazing bust of the character played by Emilia Clark with her trademark blonde curls and Targaryen pin badge.
Katherine said: “Like so many people we were swept away with Game of Thrones and I always loved her character.
“She is a powerful female who is all about doing the right thing for people.
“She is the breaker of chains.
“I appreciate her philosophy and also her dragons.
“She is also very easy to look at which made sculpting her a lot of fun.”
The incredible cake was actually served at Katherine’s own birthday party in April and had to be carried into her house by two people.
Mum-of-two Katherine, who is also a registered nurse, started decorating cakes when she was in nursing college to keep up with her artistic side.
Jenne used to own a bakery for seven years before moving into special effects.
