An animal turned her adorable pooch’s ‘cone of shame’ into hilarious costumes – including an astronaut, McDonalds fries and even a basketball net.

Kaitlyn Cotter, 30, got creative when her golden retriever Gus was neutered and decided to transform his cone multiple times – with other inventive designs including a martini, slushy and scuba driver.

The senior analyst, from Toronto, Canada, had her one-year-old canine since he was eight weeks old and has previously dressed him up as a shark for Halloween and a TY Beanie baby.

Her hilarious photo gallery shows Gus modelling the eight different costumes, which all encompass his cone as a vital part of the fancy dress.

Kaitlyn said: “Most of the costumes were pretty simple to make, the ones that took the longest were the astronaut costume and the basketball net because of all of the tape and string involved.

“All of the reactions I’ve seen have been really positive, a lot of people were commenting each day saying that it was the highlight of their day to see what his next costume was.

“Some people said I have too much time on my hands, but because Gus couldn’t go outside as much we had some time to spare.”
