An ambitious speed freak tackled the most intense and beautiful mountains Europe had to offer – by longboarding through the Alps.
For most, when they travel to the Austrian Alps or Italian Dolomites, it’s usually for the purpose of a relaxing and chilled getaway.
But for 19 year old Josh Neuman, his trip all the way from North Carolina to some of Europe’s most scenic backdrops was for one purpose only.
Taking his trusty longboard on his European vacation, the skater hit the steepest slopes of Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
Josh’s love 756297of longboarding was to reach whole new heights, literally, as the skating veteran of seven years flew down the incredible mountainous countryside – narrowly whizzing past oncoming cars at intense speeds of up to 65mph.
Josh said: “Normally an oncoming car doesn’t faze me too much.
“We used a lead car with walkie talkies throughout most of this trip so I knew exactly when cars were coming.
“It feels so incredible to be skating at high speeds with the incredible views of the Alps and Dolomites.
“Getting to the end of the run feels awesome because you get to rest for a few minutes on the way back to the top!”
