Fancy an espresso me-tini? This bar lets you sip a cocktail with your face on it.
Bartenders at The Canal House in Birmingham city centre use a 3D printer to superimpose any image onto the foam atop an espresso or pornstar martini, coffee or even a pint of Guinness.
Staff said mainly selfies are chosen to adorn the boozy treat – which costs £8.95 – although they have had some more unusual requests.
Bartender Matt Arnold, 20, from Kingstanding, Birmingham, said wedding photos are also a popular choice.
He said: “We link a 3D printer with a website where punters can send in their own images – whether it’s a photo of their cat, dog, or themselves.
“You can even put a picture of the drink on the drink, like ‘drink-ception’.
“Once we give out the web address and the device ID of the printer, customers can then send their images to our printer.
“It can work on anything that has foam, from a cappuccino to a martini or a pint of Guinness.
“We don’t get much too bizarre, usually it’s selfies or pets.
“But we have had some rude requests sometimes, the strangest one was an image of fish.
“It adds a bit of a wild factor really – it’s not every day you can drink your face on a cocktail.
“We are doing for people who just want a good night out.”
