A group of good Samaritans rescued a man lying in the middle of a busy New York road.
Vilas Pendse was walking through Jamaica, Queens, testing out his new GoPro Hero on January 22, when he stumbled across the worrying scene.
Lying flat on his back on the other side of the road was a man, who had streams of traffic building up behind him.
After a few minutes of commotion, three complete strangers helped to pick the man off the tarmac and on to the pavement where they propped him up waiting for help.
Vilas said: “I had no idea who the guy was or how long he had been there.
“While leaving the area, I flagged down a police car, told them of the situation, to which they responded they had just received a call about that man and were en route.”
