A stunned tourist stepped into a garden full of thousands of dung beetles.
Guy Constable was on holiday with his fiancée in Tasmania on February 15, when he walked into the back-yard crawling with the disgusting creatures.
Within seconds of stepping on the grass, his shoes were covered in hordes of tiny black insects.
Guy, 51, said: “Apparently, dung beetles indicate a severe change in the weather.
“They stayed there for most of the afternoon and evening, at least 12 to 16 hours.
“In the morning there were only a few thousand dead ones left as the rest had flown away
“We were amazed!
“They were everywhere and when I dragged a stick through the dirt to make a trench, they all just swelled up out of nowhere into a scathing mass of beetles.”
