A woman has fulfilled her childhood dream to become a modern mermaid.
Ocean conservationist, Beth Neale, 36, can be seen exploring the fresh waters of South Africa wearing her silicone mermaid tail.
In the clip, Beth is embracing her inner-mermaid while exploring shipwrecks, she’s encountered by sucker fish and can been seen blowing bubble rings to celebrate her birthday.
Shot on February 15, Beth is swimming in the natural spring waters of a farm in North West Province of South Africa.
Beth, from Durban, said: “When I was younger, I would spend hours in the water dreaming and pretending to be a mermaid.
“When I had finished school, I went on a family holiday to Ponta do Ouro in Mozambique and learnt to scuba dive, it was then I truly fell in love with the underwater world.
“South Africa is not usually a destination for depth free dive competitions because of limiting factors including big swell, strong currents and visibility and so I am particularly proud to have broken the record here at home in South African waters.”
