A skilled musician played Toto’s ‘Africa’ using vegetables.
Ocarina maker and player Toni Patanen, 22, from Helsinki, Finland, is exploring a whole new way of making musical instruments.
In November 2018, Toni carved two sweet potatoes and a squash into a set of ocarinas and then performed an original but faultless version of Africa on his new veggie instruments.
Toni said: “Ocarinas are normally made of clay, but making them with vegetable isn’t really that much harder.”
“The irony of playing Africa with food is incredible” he also wrote on social media.
“To make up for it, please go help out some people after watching this video.”
