A mum who missed out on partying because she suffered with Lupus, took her first shot with her son on his birthday and OWNED IT.
While getting ready to celebrate his 22nd birthday on January 16, Dylan Mays grabbed his mum Timeka Pike and poured her a drink.
Filming the encounter, the 42-year-old explains how she never drank heavily throughout her 20s and 30s because of the medication she had to take.
After her son poured a shot of whiskey for them both in China, Texas, USA, she downs it like a champ while Dylan pulls a face.
Dylan said: “She’s had sips of drinks before but never been able to do a shot because of her medication.
“But for my birthday, she was determined to join in.
“She made it look easy.”
After being diagnosed with Lupus in her early 20s, Timeka has suffered multiple complications, including needing a hip replacement and being on the list for a double lung transplant.
Dylan said: “There’s times where days go by and she’s not able to get out of bed and needs help with anything she does.
“If you met us you wouldn’t even think anything was wrong with her, she’s a very outgoing and happy woman.
“Mum has a spirit that will bring you up no matter what you’re feeling like.
“She loves to sing and dance, but her being on an oxygen machine doesn’t allow her to be able to do it as she’d like.”
