A lucky driver narrowly avoided crashing into a ditch at the side of the road after hydroplaning.
Erik Herrero was driving through Clifton Park, New York, on January 24 when his Subaru Impreza hit a patch of melted snow.
The 18-year-old started to spin out towards a grassy ditch, turning a full 360 degrees.
Fortunately, Erik managed to bring his car back under control mere metres away from the guardrail at the side of the road.
Erik said: “When I started spinning my heart dropped.
“I was scared witless and knew that I had to do everything I could to stay calm and keep from damaging both me and the car.
“When I hit the snow I started to spin, so I began to counter steer but once I caught traction the car snapped, and I tried to correct.
“My back right tyre caught the mud causing me to spin a full 360 and luckily I managed to control the spin and just miss the guard rail.”
