A group of lucky divers filmed a massive great white shark feeding on a whale carcass underwater.
Joshua Munoz was part of a group who visited the dead sperm whale – the one visited by the world’s biggest great white shark, Deep Blue – off the coast of Waikiki, Hawaii, USA, on January 14.
Jumping into the water around the body, his group was joined by a great white measuring at least 18-feet-long.
While the divers swam just metres away from it, the peckish predator was far more interested in tearing off huge chunks of its blubber buffet.
Joshua, 25, said: “It was such an impressive sight.
“At one point it was just six feet away from me.
“The shark was just so big, but it couldn’t care less about us being there because of the 50-foot-long meal in front of it.
“We hung around with it for at least 30 minutes before it got too dark.”
The sperm whale washed up in shallows off the coast Sand Island earlier in the week, but officials pulled it out into deeper waters.
As a result, it has proved both a feeding ground for tiger sharks, plus attracted divers from all around.
