Rodrigo Alves has rejected Eurovision claims but sets his sights on a summer number one with his Aqua ‘Barbie Girl’ style hit following surgery to celebrate his 36th birthday.
The Brazilian-born star denies the rumours that he will represent San Marino at the annual event despite calling it a dream to perform there.
He has been busy training his voice for half a year with professionals in Italy ready for his debut song ‘Plastic World’ to come out.
This comes ahead of major facial reconstructive surgery set to happen this month in Iran, where he will have nose surgery to help him breathe again and help him hit the high notes.
He will also undergo an eyelift, jawline surgery, a lip-lift, hair implants and replacing the large silicon implant in his chin for a smaller one.
In total Rodrigo, dubbed ‘The Human Ken Doll’, has spent more than half a million pounds altering every inch of his body from four rib removals to peck implants and more.
Rodrigo said: “I am dedicating myself to something new and fresh, I am working on a song called ‘Plastic World’ which is promised to be a summer hit.
“Since August I have been taking singing classes and vocal coaching in Italy, I have a team of four people working with me and thanks to then I can now sing.
“My dream has always been to be a performer on a big stage with lots of lights and I would love to be on Eurovision one day.
“There are reports in Germany, Greece, Italy, France and few other countries that I am representing San Marino. Unfortunately, that is not true.
“Every day as soon as I wake up I have a tea and 30 minutes of vocal warm-ups, then at 12:00 I have an hour of singing classes.
“I have now started to take dancing classes to go alongside my new pop song, dancing and singing at the same time is really hard
“I wonder how artists like Beyoncé, Shakira and Madonna can do it, it’s really hard, but I know for me everything is possible with hard work and determination
“I am known for my extreme makeover with the help of 62 plastic surgeries and four rib removals that I have spent more than £500,000 on plastic surgery to became what was right in my mind
“I have never needed people’s approval, I never wished to be someone else – the Ken Doll – but just to be content with who I am which is someone unique, rare and fearless.
“I empower people to follow their dreams and to do what is right for them.”
Later this week, Rodrigo will travel to the Middle East for specialised facial plastic surgery to celebrate his 36th birthday early (July 30).
Aside for cosmetic surgery to maintain his youthful looks, he will be undergoing another surgery to his nose in the hope of being able to breathe comfortably again.
He additionally hopes it will help him to hit higher notes while singing.
Rodrigo said: “My face is starting to drop therefore I need a cervical eye lift, also my chin is too big and I need it replaced for a smaller size.
Far away from his goals of 2018, which saw him appear on reality TV in the UK, Italy, Russia, Brazil and Mexico, including two appearances on Big Brother he’s now set his sights on the Music Charts.
Rodrigo is set to release ‘Plastic World’ ready for summer and guarantees it will be ‘fun, fantastic and empowering’.
While stating the song is like no other artists, he compares the cheeky nature to being similar to dance-pop group Aqua’s 1997 hit ‘Barbie Girl’.
He believes the song and his story that has been shared all over the world will continue to inspire others to ignore by public condemnation and be themselves.
Rodrigo said: “So many people are repressed and afraid to express themselves however then want, leading to depression.
“I hope that with my new song I can empower people to follow their instincts and to express themselves however they want.
“Whether that’s to have plastic surgery if it will make then happier in life and find love, for a man to wear women’s clothing just like I do when I fell in touch with my feminine side.
“There is nothing wrong with being who you are.”
