A prankster dressed as the Grinch half-inched a Christmas tree from a petrol station.
Elliot Dorrough pulled the elaborate festive joke at a forecourt in Bondi Beach, Australia, on Christmas Eve.
Painted head to toe in green, he lifts the artificial fir from the top of the shelves before scarpering out of the front door.
Unbeknown to him, the tree had a load of gift cards on its branches, meaning he returned with the tree sharpish.
Elliot said: “I had no idea the tree was covered in gift cards.
“We managed to get the police to pretend to arrest me, so they could get a picture saying they had arrested the Grinch before Christmas.
“They were more than happy to help.”
