These unusual images show nature’s most fearsome predators battling it out – in the snowy wastes of arctic SWEDEN.

Captured by German photographer Ingo Gerlach, 65, the stunning photographs show two Siberian tigers fighting with each other in huge snowdrifts.

The pictures were taken in the wintery outskirts of Orsa at the town’s zoo after Ingo waited for over an hour in order to photograph the big cats.

Ingo said: “After approximately one hour of waiting, the pair of tigers came out from a corner of the enclosure.

“Suddenly from nowhere, the tigers went for each other.

“They started hitting each other with their paws and flashing their teeth in order to impress each other before they attacked.”
