A red-faced paraglider has been caught crashing into sun loungers on a picturesque beach after trying to impress his wife.
Aristotelis Makos, 47, was gliding above St Panteleimon beach in Greece, when the accident took place.
The expert paraglider was trying to impress his wife, who was sitting under one of the umbrellas, when he missed the landed spot and tumbled.
Thankfully Aristotelis escaped without a scratch and the only thing damaged was his ego.
He added: “I have landed at this place many times usually away from the chairs and people.
“This time, my lovely wife was sitting under one of the umbrellas. I was trying to impress her, by making a pass as close as I could over her umbrella.
“Thankfully I manage to land with no scratch and the only thing that was hurt was my ego.
“My wife was absorbed by reading her book and didn’t even see my crash.”
The aircraft engineer, from Larissa, Greece, has been paragliding since 1998 without any accidents – apart from this one.
He added: “The people at the beach start to clapping their hands and cheer.
“It was like they thought I meant to land on the chair. Even the beach bar owner laughed and asked me ‘can I get you something to drink?'”
