A very grumpy cat has been caught reacting to the moment he ended up in hospital after being hit by a car.
Saul, otherwise known as ‘Grumpy Cat 2.0’, was rushed to the RSPCA Hospital after he was found hit by a car on Peckham High Street.
However, upon his arrival at the hospital, the ginger moggy had a severe look of distaste on his face when he found out he’d have to have his jaw wired.
Saul was rushed to Putney Animal Hospital on October 15 after being found by a concerned passer-by but, due to his lack of microchip, staff believe he’s a stray.
RSPCA London Veterinary Director Caroline Allen, said: “Saul was brought in by one of our animal collection officers after a gentleman found him wandering along the High Street in Peckham in the rain.
“He was in a very sorry state with and had discharge coming from his eyes and nose and looked very poorly indeed.
“We believe he was involved in a road traffic accident as we found he had injured his jaw, teeth and one eye – all leading to his rather unique look!
“He’s had to have his jaw wired so it’s no surprise he’s a little grumpy!
“Despite his constant scowl, Saul’s actually really sweet and friendly.
“He’s recovering really well from his injuries and we hope he will soon be ready to move to our cattery at Southall to find a new home.
“We’re sure he’d give Grumpy Cat a run for his money – that’s why we’re affectionately nicknaming him Grumpy Cat 2.0!”
