Most of the images were taken through 2016 and the early part of 2017, and because of the society’s strict requirements, only the best wedding photographers are allowed to enter its competitions.

“However an excellent wedding photograph also shows a high degree of creativity, timing, uniqueness, surprise and sometimes a little luck.

“But luck favours the prepared and a truly experienced professional is always looking for those unique special moments and is ready for them.

“I love all of the categories, but lately, I have been gravitating towards the Emotional Impact, Family Love, and Humour categories because they are typically unscripted and spontaneous images.

“I can certainly appreciate the creativity and artistry of many of the other categories, but I love images that show true human feelings and reactions because they are just so real.”
