An infected ear pimple has been extracted by a UK ‘wax whisperer’ who caught the moment on camera.
Neel Raithatha, was working at his clinic in Oadby, Leicestershire, on the August 16 when a patient arrived with severe earache and weeping ear discharge with a foul odour.
And despite its huge size, Neel, whose known as The Wax Whisperer, managed to use a suction treatment rather than popping the pimple.
He added: “I had to delicately suction the weeping discharge inside the ear, which had collected behind the ear pimple, whilst attempting to cause minimal trauma to the ear pimple as they are best treated using antibiotics.
“This was difficult to do given its prominent size and proximity to the eardrum, and there was some bleeding present around the ear pimple during the procedure.
“Nonetheless, I managed to avoid popping the ear pimple, sorry pimple popping fans.
“As you can see by the end of the video, I was able to successfully suction all the discharge off the eardrum, which wasn’t previously visible, both due to the discharge and large ear pimple.
“I then referred the client to his GP for antibiotic treatment of his otitis externa and ear furuncle.
“The procedure was performed endoscopically using the iCLEARscope endoscope, which was developed and introduced into the UK by myself and fellow colleagues at Clearwax.”
