‘Farm Girl Jen’ who took the internet by storm for her ripped body in her 50s but looking decades younger celebrates becoming GLAM GRAN and teases a BABY BIKINI
Fitness fanatic Jennifer King, from North Carolina, whose flirty bikini-clad videos earned her well over $100,000 (74kGBP) a year, admits she can’t wait to embrace this new chapter.
Despite turning 52 this summer, the YouTube star that runs channel Banshee Moon, is often confused for being more than two decades younger.
She attributes her youthful looks to keeping well hydrated, weightlifting, walking 10,000-steps-a-day and more recently, water fasting – consuming only H2O for a set period of time.
Recently her son Walker and partner Cayla, 24 and 21, announced their daughter will be born in September, which will turn Jen into a ‘glam gran.’
She says people cannot believe it as she looks ‘too young’ to be a grandma and believe she must have had children at a very young age.
The star who is famed for her scantily clad light-hearted videos jests that since starting her own swimwear line a baby bikini could be on the cards.
Farm girl Jen said: “It feels like a dream! I can’t wait to spend time with our sweet new baby.
“The looking younger part is nice but the feeling younger is the best part because I know that I am going to have enough energy to really get out there and play.
“This is one of the most important reasons to stay in shape mentally and physically into your later years, gotta be able to be childlike and fun with your grandkids.
“I do like that ‘glam gran’ and it’s funny because the name I chose for her to call me is GG.
“I was thinking more like ‘Grandma with Guns’ meaning biceps or ‘Gangsta Grandma.’
“When hearing I’m going to become a grandparent, most people just say ‘NO WAY!’ and then they assume that I must’ve had a child when I was very young.
“Almost 52 is not old by any means but it’s a really good feeling that people think I look younger than that.”
Farm Girl Jen and husband, Jason, known on YouTube as ‘Exoman’, run a small farm and several small businesses alongside their internet fame.
Since starting their channel close to four years ago, their most successful video has a whopping 12 million views, the equivalent of 60 years of viewing time.
Jen said: “It all started when I was about 48 when my husband suggested that I work out with his tractor weights and pull the tractor with a rope just to show that I could do it.
“I agreed with the understanding that he would converse with me from behind the camera, some men hate his vocal presence, as I felt awkward without his interaction and this is how it has always been.
“The tractor video became our first viral hit. I remember being absolutely shocked when the video had 4,000 views. We now have a video that has over 12 million views, over 60 years of watch time.”
The couple confess that their videos have caused a stir online ever since inception, with an on-pouring mix of hate and love.
Jen admits she quickly developed a thick skin but was surprised to see such sharp reactions to her ‘having fun’.
She added: “It is fascinating to see the dichotomy of people and their reactions to viewing something as simple as me reviewing a product while wearing typical wardrobe that I wear to go to the store or to the beach.
“It’s love or hate and not much in the middle. Unhappy people want others to share their misery and happy people want to spread joy.
“Because I often appear in a bikini, we get a lot of sexual comments from frustrated and or angry people.
“We never respond to the angry people or the sexual comments because they really have nothing to do with us. We try to stay above the fray as far as politics, anger and vitriol go.”
They believe their carefree attitude is what has drawn such a following.
Jen added: “I try to be fun, positive and a bit flirty. We just want people to be happy and the message is that life is very short, and we all just need to be positive and loving.
“While the content may appear a little racy to some, there is really nothing sexual about it. We are just promoting playfulness and youthfulness as older adults.
“We don’t even curse and we are really not trying to be very provocative and frankly, as advertising partners with YouTube, this is not permitted.
“We have fun but with some innocence and I am not afraid to walk around in a tiny bikini at my age and be flirty.
“Also my husband and I are best friends and love each other dearly and this is a big part of what we wish to share.
“We love that we are able to inspire and make so many people happy just by being ourselves.
“We feel like the happy friendly people are the people who “get us” and what we are doing.”
Since the launch of their ‘flirty, sexy’ Banshee Magazine, which has allowed Jen to be one of the oldest bikini models around.
She has also launched an environmentally friendly bikini line made from recycled fishing net.
Jen said: “I am really excited about our new Banshee Bikini line, working with just a few designs to start and adding more as we go.
“The bikinis are really quality and made from recycled fishing nets and some of the proceeds from each piece manufactured will go to helping clean up our oceans which makes me feel really great.
“In a small way I think that will make a large impact in keeping the ocean alive and earth livable for generations.”
