A woman is defending her decision to trade in army life to travel the world for free thanks to paid dating.
Lior Dvash, 23, is treated to all-expenses paid for trips to dreamy destinations, including Thailand, Canada and Spain so far with MissTravel.com.
She started shortly after leaving two-year’s service in the Israeli army, where she held an educational position educating volunteers.
For the excursions, she travels to accompany men of all ages, not spending a penny and even being given a daily allowance and gifts including clothes and perfume.
She says some people judge her for the decision, believe that she is ‘using the men’ despite them freely choosing to pay for her company.
Lior, who grew-up in Canada, and currently is based in Brisbane, Australia, said: “In the army it was not a fun experience, I didn’t go in hoping for a fun experience, I wanted to gain maturity and connect with my family that lives in Israel.
“I wanted to travel for free. I’m a nice person, great company and was really broke after finishing my army service.
“I am not a nervous person, I listen to my intuition, I’m not stupid so I take safety precautions making sure to speak to them and make sure nothing makes me feel nervous.
“I like meeting new people and seeing different perspectives, it’s not a big deal as long as you feel comfortable with the person.
“My friend all know but my family don’t know yet as it’s unnecessary for them to know. I tell them I’m going on vacation and they don’t know the details.
“Some people make faces but it’s because they think using somebody is negative thing, in reality we all use one another for many reasons, this is life.
“Reactions are mixed, but I’m not apologising or changing for anybody, it’s my life not yours, if you don’t like it that’s your problem.
“Before I heard of Miss Travel I never thought I’d be able to travel the world for free.
“It gives you the option to see the world form someone else’s perspective, one I’d never be able to see by myself.
“I think that Miss Travel is a great website if you’re being smart. If you’re aware, you’ll get a lot out of it than what you give.”
After leaving her army service in 2015, she started looking for ways to travel the world.
She discovered Miss Travel and has since been on three trips, where aside from all expenses being paid for she was also treated and given gifts.
Lior said: “After being released from the army, I was travelling to the highest luxury five-star hotels with a spa and every day room service – as a kid I was never allowed to order it.
“It was a welcome break for me, I definitely needed a break and to be able to spoil myself.
“I’ve had day-in day-out massages every single day. When we stayed in the resort as everything was paid for, they also took me shopping and things like that.
“In Malaga I was given cash and was taken on a day of shopping, I also was bought perfume.
“In Toronto the gentleman gave me 800 dollars for the city tour and in Koh Samui I received a daily allowance, a dive trip and perfume.”
Lior believes if you are smart you can gain a lot from the experience and maintains that she always vets every man before going on a date.
She added: “If they are weird I’m not obligated to go anywhere and also I make sure to have cash on me, the money will allow me to go back if I don’t want to stay.
“As long as you speak with them over facetime and use common sense that’s really important.
“I think Miss Travel is a great experience, anybody who is comfortable with themselves should try it out and there are a lot more benefits than cons.”
Lior says her clients tend to range in age but share similar thoughts about the world.
She added: “There are a lot of similarities, they see money as everything, money is power.
“My family was never poor, but I was never raised to be rich, so for me I don’t know what it’s like to feel like I can have everything.
“They have that feeling that they can have anything they want, immediate gratification with no implications – they just do and live.”
Lior has not had any bad experiences from her paid dates and plans to continue doing it for now.
She said: “By my 30s I want to be rich enough to buy my own plane tickets, if someone chooses to do it full time they have to choose to be a bit submissive.
“You are there to provide company and there is nothing wrong with being submissive, it’s being a little more of what they like.
“I do really believe it is a positive website and I’ve really only had good experiences out of it.”
