Being happy is just simples for these meerkats as they’re pictured looking delighted while sharing a cute hug.
The pair are clearly thrilled to be together with seemingly wide grins etched on their faces as they wrap their arms around each other in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.
The overjoyed duo were captured by wildlife photographer, Bernd Wasiolka, when he spotted the adorable clinch from inside his car.
The 46-year-old said: “The family were warming up and enjoying the sun, getting ready for their days work – search of food.
“After a while the youngsters became active, they were playing, fooling around and chasing each other.
“While the youngsters were at playing the adults kept a vigilant eye on their surroundings in case a potential predator showed up.
“They are great animals to photograph, they are cute and sociable especially the younger ones.
“The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is my favourite place in Southern Africa.
“I spent more than 700 days in the park to photograph all it’s beauty for my first book called ‘Kalahari Dreaming’.
“The book was published three years ago. Every year for four to five weeks I come back to see this magical place again. I call it my second home.”
