In an attempt to make a world record, a Pakistani man smashed 51 watermelons with his head and crushed 281 walnuts with one hand, both in just one minute.
Visuals show Rashid Naseem, 32, from Karachi, tearing into a batch of watermelons and managed to crack 51 of them in just one minute amid cheers and applause from the audience.
Currently, the record for most watermelons smashed with head in one minute is 43 held by Germany’s Tafzi Ahmed.
In another attempt, Naseem crushed 281 walnuts in 60 seconds while breaking the record of India’s Prabhakar Reddy P, who In January this year had achieved the feet by crushing 251 walnuts.
Both the world record attempts were held and recorded at Green Public High School at Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi, in presence of the officials.
Naseem, who is trained in martial arts and runs a martial arts training school, said he had been preparing for the attempts for several months.
He said: “It takes lot of practice to break a world record. I’ve been practising for the attempts for past several months.
“It requires lot of funds to attempt and break a world record and I’m doing all this without the support of any sponsor or any government help.”
Naseem had previously held several Guinness World Records including most green coconuts smashed with head and most bottle caps removed by head in one minute.
He also claims to be a record holder for crushing the highest number of drink cans.
Naseem further said that breaking world records has earned him lot of respect and love from his countrymen which has encouraged him to keep going.
He says he wants to setup more world records in future.
“My aim is to make 50 world records and make my country proud. Setting up new records is giving me lot of happiness as it gives my fellow Pakistanis a feeling of pride,” said Naseem.
