A photographer has captured the incredible moment an owl perfectly camouflaged itself into the tree it is hiding in.
Cheuk Kai took this photograph of his friend’s pet owl, at the Owl Reserve in Hagerstown Castles, Berwick upon Tweed.
However when taking the sequence of photographs, the photographer realised that the owl had suddenly become camouflaged to the tree.
In fact, the owl only becomes apparent in the tree when its bright green eyes are open and its fluorescent yellow beak is poking out.
Cheuk said: “It was so cute. It was such a good experience to get close to the beautiful owl.”
