AN ALLIGATOR has been filmed on a casual stroll through hotel grounds in Florida.
The reptile was captured on camera on Sunday appearing to make his way to a room before being apprehended by police.
The five foot long gator appeared to have wanted night at the Quality Inn in Sebring. Police joked he may have been “looking for the tiki bar”.
The clip shows the alligator making its way past a row of hotel rooms before turning to head down another hallway.
Posting the video to Facebook Highlands County Sheriff’s Office wrote: “We aren’t sure if this little guy got locked out of his room at the Quality Inn in Sebring this afternoon or what.
“Maybe he was just looking for the tiki bar to get a margarita, but he didn’t look like he was old enough to drink and didn’t appear to have any ID in his alligator skin wallet.
“He was cornered by a licensed trapper and taken away. Only in Florida.”
A police spokesman added: “The call came in as an alligator under a car in the parking lot.
“While we were waiting for the trapper to arrive, he began to stroll down the sidewalk.
“He was probably trying to go from one nearby retention pond to another and got confused.”
