This brave pup took a tumble after attempting a game of fetch from a tree.

The fearless Border Collie cross was following her owner out across the branch when she slipped and plummeted into the water below her.

Cute pup Skye managed to make a bit of a flip after she lost her footing, but was unharmed and soon begging to play fetch once again.

Skye’s owner, Chantoya Isaksson, captured the video at Ti Point in Auckland, New Zealand.

The 22-year-old, who works as a chef/barista, said: “Skye is the sort of dog that has no fear; we’ve had to coax her down from a balcony rail on the second floor because she saw a ball across the street.

“She’s very well trained, but will still get herself into all sorts of trouble.

“My brother, my boyfriend and I were taking Skye and Roma for a walk down by the water so they could cool off in the heat.

“My brother, Keanu, climbed an overhanging tree to throw sticks into the water for Skye to fetch, it’s her favourite thing to do.

“Every time we take her to Ti Point she immediately runs up the tree and waits for us to throw a stick for her.

“Skye went out on the overhanging branch where she usually waits for my brother to throw the stick, except this time she slipped and did a flip in the air before landing in the water.

“After getting out of the water Skye immediately ran back up the tree for another round. When I realised I’d gotten it all perfectly on camera I couldn’t believe it.

“We checked her over to make sure she hadn’t hurt herself of course, and we tried to take her home but she wouldn’t stop begging for more games of fetch.

“Everyone that’s seen it has told me its internet gold, and thankfully I haven’t had anyone saying anything negative yet about how irresponsible we are as dog owners or whatever.

“I know other dog owners are often out for blood when you do anything that fits outside of their views. But she’s not some mollycoddled pooch.

“She’s a farm dog, she herds horses, she rolls in mud, and sometimes she jumps out of trees to fetch a stick.”
