A man was reduced to tears when the ‘present’ he unwrapped ended up being his mother, who he hasn’t seen in 16 years.
Arturo Fabian, 44, had not seen his mother, Guadalupe Montalbo, 60, in 16 years as she couldn’t get a visa to visit him in America.
So, as a surprise, his family flew her out to their home in Garfield, New Jersey, to make up for lost time.
When Arturo returned home from work, he found a large box in his living room which he was told was a present.
Initially believing his family had ordered him a stripper, Arturo was shocked when he opened the box to reveal his mother.
His daughter, Deisy Sanchez, filmed the footage at their home.
Deisy said: “We bought my grandma a plane ticket on the day her visa was accepted, and the next day she flew out to America.
“We met her at Newark Airport – we ran up to her and hugged her, but then we quickly drove back to set everything up.
“We waited until my dad got home and that’s when he opened the box and she popped out.
“My grandma was so happy when she found out she was coming to the US, and when she was my dad she started to cry.
“My dad’s reaction was very confused and he was very emotional also.”
