It might not be the three-eyed raven – but that does not stop this bird from coming straight out of Game of Thrones.
The tuft of feathers on the Sykes’s lark’s head look as if they were styled after the iron throne itself.
The mix of light and dark patterns on the bird’s crown mirror the famous chair, reportedly forged from the swords of surrendered enemies of Aegon the Conqueror.
The majestic lark also carries the look of a ruler as it puffs its chest out and stares straight down the camera.
The bird and its resemblance to the popular series’ throne was spotted by arts student Shane Jacob in Nagpur, India.
Shane, 21, who lives in India, said: “This bird is a Sykes’s Lark. I snapped it near the outskirts of Nagpur.
“I have photographed this bird before but this was the first time I got so close and he opened his crest. I got really lucky.
“As soon as he did that, his head was noticeable right away. The feathers resemble the iron throne a lot.”
