The force is strong with this Chewbacca, as he navigates his way down a narrow stream at hyper speed, ditching the Millennium Falcon for a spot of extreme kayaking.
British Columbia has had its fair share of Sasquatch sightings over the past few years, but it seems there’s another big, furry, mythical creature roaming the forest in Lions Bay – and this one isn’t on foot.
Seemingly taking a leisurely break from fighting the Empire, Chewy lets out an iconic roar before beginning his descent downstream.
Navigating his way through the forest with expert precision, Chewy slides from side-to-side as he zooms his way down the shallow ditch, which is riddled with sharp turns.
Just like any Star Wars movie, the December 14th journey ends with a huge bang, as Chewy hits some unexpected air before crashing down to the ocean below, unscathed, before declaring, “May the force be with you.”
Adrenaline junkie Tyler Bradt, who made the suit for an office party, said: “I could hardly see anything in the costume, which made it really hard to run the ditch.
“It’s almost 1,000 vertical feet above the ocean at the top, so I was really worried I might lose control.
“On top of that, I had never been down this track before.
“I did biff the landing at the end a bit – it was so hard to line-up straight for the jump with the mask on.
“I’ve been kayaking since I was six, but I also sky dive, base jump, paraglide and surf among other things.
“People absolutely love the video, and it’s great fun to watch back.
“I think Chewy definitely enjoys Kayaking more than the Millennium Falcon.”
