This octopus has been caught on camera by a scuba diver who noticed that the sea creatures body was changing colour.
As the camera follows the octopus around, its body can be seen almost lighting up with colour, in an incredible attempt to camouflage itself from any potential predators.
Hector Seguin Jr, 52, captured the footage whilst scuba diving at Ewa Pinnacles, O’ahu, Hawaii.
Hector, from Honalulu, Hawaii, said: “The octopus is trying it’s best to camouflage itself, as octopuses have pigment cells called chromophores in their skin, which means they can control the colour and patterns on their skin.
“They change their colour in an attempt to camouflage themselves from predators.
“Whilst scuba diving I spotted this particular octopus just lying right out in the open on the reef.
“It was pretty incredible to see this happen right in front of my eyes – all creatures of the undersea world are amazing in their own way.
