This adorable fox cub was captured mid-pounce above her cute brother cub.
The brother is staring up at his cheeky sister with an irritated look as the two kits frolic.
He had been doing some very important digging of holes and lying in them before being rudely interrupted by his sister.
It was business executive Len Greer, 50, who snapped this brilliant shot at the arboretum in Glen Rock, NJ.
He said: “I have been observing two fox dens in our town over the past year. I visit this particular family most often because these kits, born in the spring of 2017, like to play in a nearby field and often put on a good show.
“The pouncing fox kit photo, with the sister suspended above her brother as he waits for the impact, is my all-time favourite.
“One of the kits had been busily digging a hole in the field. He often digs holes and lies down in them.
“His sibling (sister, I think) had been stalking him as he played in the hole, and pounced on him. She landed right next to him, sparing him a direct hit just as human siblings might do.
“I have been shooting animals for some time. I’m more of an animal lover than a photographer. I met Helene McGuire about a year ago. She was a photographer first, but shares my passion for wildlife and we now share an Instagram account — @InSightByLeNs”
