This baby made a super cute sight as he was able to see his parents properly for the first time.
Little Ian Rivera, now 2, was just 18-months old when he finally got his first pair of glasses.
In a sweet video shot by his parents Jose and Sharon, from Eagle Mountian, Utah, the delight on his face is clear to see.
Wondering what on earth has happened, the boy keeps putting his hands to his eyes to work out what has changed.
His parents ask him repeatedly if he likes his new glasses while Ian just beams back at them.
Jose, a national guard soldier, said: “My wife had picked up Ian’s glasses from the doctor’s and took them home to try them on him.
“He had a very cute reaction. He wouldn’t stop touching them and smiling.
“He kept smiling I think he could see us more clearly and focus more easily on our faces.
“Ian has had eye issues since birth but they didn’t think glasses would help till he was a little older.
“He had a severe stroke in utero which caused a build-up of fluid on the brain, which damaged his optic nerves and caused involuntary rapid eye movement.
“From when he was born to about six months he didn’t seem to use his eyes as much but as he has gotten older it seems like he is seeing better.
“Ian is our miracle baby. He was perfectly healthy throughout the pregnancy but we had an extra ultrasound done at 33 weeks which found that he had blood in his brain.
“Medics decided to deliver him by C-section as they worried that it could get worse. He was born 6 weeks early.
“Doctors are surprised he is doing as well as he is with 1/4 of his brain damaged by the stroke. He has had two surgeries and a couple of hospitals stays but through it all he has been such a smiley happy boy and we are lucky to have him.”
