This is the adorable moment a husky is reunited with his owner – a soldier returning home from duty.
Jax, the one-year-old husky, is overwhelmed with emotion when he sees his owner, Sam Cox, 27, arrive home from Nigerian after training the countries army.
The loving embrace was caught on camera by Sam’s girlfriend, Sandra Pettersen, 22, at their home in Woolwich, London, on Thursday, October 26.
Sandra said: “It was so lovely to see him cuddling and rubbing against Sam because he had missed him so much.
“Jax can be really funny when he goes away.
“He will sit close to me all the time and even sleeps on his side of the bed, which he is never normal does.
“He is such a happy and friendly dog and loves to greet anyone that comes to the door.
“He is very energetic and loves going for walks and hikes with Sam, they are like best friends.”
Sam has been in the Royal Anglian Regiment for nine years and has recently been away training the Nigerian Army before coming home to be reunited with his four-legged friend.
Jax goes everywhere with the couple, even on their annual holiday to Norway, where Sandra is originally from and now has his own Instagram account with nearly 35,000 followers.
Sandra, a medical student at the University of West Minster, said: “We knew we wanted a husky and were searching the internet when we came across Jax, in Manchester.
“We loved him straight away and brought him home.
“I didn’t want people to get annoyed with the number of pictures I was sharing on social media of him, so I set up an Instagram account in August, last year.
“Since then we have had an amazing response.”
