Last night, one of the most publicised boxing matches took place between heavy-weights Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam at the prestigious Principality Stadium in Cardiff to a sellout 75,000 boxing fans.

After an agonising 10 rounds, Joshua, 28, remains undefeated as the IBF, WBA and IBO champion, having won the last 20 contests, all by knockout, bar this one that the ref stopped at round 10 due to Takam’s apparent health.

At one point the ref stepped in to check on Carlos Takam, there was a little confusion if he wanted to stop but Takam carried on.

Carlos Takam stumbles to the floor in round 4 as the crowd went wild for Anthony Joshua.

The ref steps in after Joshua pounded Takam and just as the who stadium was about to see Takam drop, the bell went giving him respite.

Anthony Joshua kept landing blow after blow and at several moments it seemed Takam would fall but he carried on through the rounds.

Each fighter carried on exchanging blows and then we hit round 10…

Anthony Joshua gave Takam several left and right hooks and Takam stumbled, the ref then jumped in and called a stop to the fight.

Takam later said he would have like to have continued but respected the refs decision.
