This is the incredible moment an irate gas station attendant put out an ignorant driver’s cigarette by hosing him down with a FIRE EXTINGUISHER.
In Sofia, Bulgaria, part-time petrol station attendant Hristo Dimitrov is working his regular late shift, on August 8, 2017, when an ignorant driver pulls into the forecourt smoking a cigarette.
Calling out to the reckless individual, Hristo asked several times for the selfish smoker to put out his cigarette immediately, a request continually shrugged off by the unidentified driver.
Not willing to sit idly by and become, in his own words, ‘another statistic,’ Hristo marched out onto the tarmac brandishing a fire extinguisher with one final warning to the blasé smoker.
After his final plea was met with aggression, the 45-year-old didn’t hesitate in pulling the extinguisher’s trigger, engulfing the assailant in a cloud of white mist before proudly marching off.
Hristo said: “When I saw him with the cigarette, I was scared.
“The fuel tank had 50 to 60 tonnes of fuel beneath the ground, and though the chances of a cigarette igniting it all were slim, it wasn’t a risk I was willing to take.
“I didn’t think about it at all, grabbing the extinguisher was just an instinctive reaction.
“Nobody wants to end up a carcass at the hands of someone else, becoming another statistic.
“I wanted to finish my shift alive and healthy.
“The boy continued to be aggressive and arrogant even after I extinguished him; he was just looking for conflict.
“Everyone has been congratulating me for my actions, I just couldn’t sit and see something so dangerous with potentially devastating consequences happen.
“Bulgaria is a beautiful country and this is not an everyday occurrence.
“I’m just glad I was in the right place at the right time to do something.”
