It’s known for its vast desert landscape of tall, white sand dunes and seasonal rainwater lagoons.
Domenico Raguseo took a trip to the park and was fascinated by the mesmerising landscape.
Domenico said: “I wouldn’t just visit again, I would live here if I could.
“I rented a car and drove from Sao Luis to Aracaju and stopped off to visit the park after a friend of mine from Rio told me about it.

“We opted for a tour, which was about $30 for eight hours in the park, including transfers from barreirinhas, I would recommend it to anyone.
“Despite visiting during the winter season, it was above 30 degrees and the water was about 22/24 degrees, which was nice and refreshing for that heat.
“It was an amazing day, and perfect for honeymooners.”
