This is the bizarre moment a male goat with udders is seen producing milk in India.
The goat born to Revati and Devidin Pal’s one of the goats in Utranv in Uttra Pradesh in northern India, is being seen as God’s gift as hundreds from far-flung villages are thronging to get taste of its milk.
The three-year-old huge black and white goat had developed strange physical changes and started producing milk three months ago.
In a day, it produces up to 375 grams of thick fat milk which is sold to a local dairy for Rs 45 (0.534 pounds) per litre.
Revati said: “Three months ago I was milking another goat when I saw a kid goat feeding at his udder.
“I was in complete disbelief. Then I checked it myself and was stunned. It was leaking milk.
“It is nothing short of a miracle. I have been rearing goats for decades but have never seen a male goat producing milk.”
Revati and her husband had taken the goat to a local veterinarian but were told it could have hormonal disturbance.
While the goat’s milk is not consumed directly, the fat from its milk is being used by local dairy owners.
“Villagers come to our place with a request to taste its milk and pose for a photograph.
“Some believe it is a miraculous goat and ask their children to touch the animal on the fore-head for good fortune,” Revati added.
