Fists are at the ready for this adorable baby boy who gave his mum the shock of her life at his 30 week scan – when he appeared to be offering her a FISTBUMP.

Chloe Carey, 24, from Leeds, was stunned to see her unborn baby’s face with his eyes wide open and both fists clenched and outstretched during a scan.

It was a moment of shock and excitement for the first time parents, Chloe and Andy Hayward, 30, who were told by the sonographer that this type of picture was one of a kind.

Now, 15 weeks old, baby Archie is the spitting image of his scan image with his adorable chubby cheeks and big eyes.

And he was even born with his fists up and sleeps with them clenched.

Chloe, who works in customer services, said: “I couldn’t believe it when we were shown his little face on the screen.

“The sonographer was so shocked that he was looking at us all that she paused and printed us a picture of him.

“His eyes were wide open and looking at his chubby cheeks from inside my womb was amazing.

“His fists were clenched into fists and we think he was probably trying to push the cold ultrasound machine away.

“And when he was born it was as though we’d already met him as he looked just like he did at 30 weeks.

“Me and Andy were over the moon we hadn’t spent any money on a 4D scan as we got the best picture ever without one.”

Chloe was sent for extra scans and growth checks throughout her pregnancy to check on Archie’s development.

She added: “Archie was just being lazy but while I was pregnant I needed extra checks as he wasn’t moving as much as he should’ve been.

“It was such a worry when Archie was my first baby but the nurses were amazing and always put my mind at rest by checking his heart beat.

“He was born on November 8, weighing 8lb 9oz and now he’s here, he’s such a little fidget, it’s as though he was saving all his energy for after the birth.

“But Archie is such a good baby and we’re so lucky to have such a perfect little boy in our lives.”

Chloe recalls how her friends and family reacted to the photo.

She added: “I burst out crying when I first saw the picture of him looking at us.

“I was relieved more than anything but the more we looked at it, the more I started to laugh.

“Archie was staring right at us and when I showed our friends and family they were in shock.

“It’s so funny that he looks exactly the same now he’s born too, he’s so cute.

“Most people I have spoken to haven’t seen a scan picture like this before either, we can’t wait to show him when he’s old enough to understand.”
