A talented baker has created a continuously pouring Prosecco cake…and even the bottles are edible.
The masterpiece, which has to be seen to be believed, stands at three and a half feet tall and even the bottles are made of icing and the edible labels.
In fact, the only things which can’t be eaten are the glasses, knives and cheeseboard.
The extraordinary cake is a Prosecco lovers dream – with a integrated closed loop system and a pump which continually filters 2.5 litres of Prosecco through the cake, meaning the bubbly will never dry up.
The incredible vanilla and chocolate cake was created for a 60th birthday by husband and wife team, Angie and Stuart Harris of Angie Scott Cakes.
Stuart said it took the pair three days to complete.
He added: “It was quite nerve-wracking getting it to the venue.
“We had to transport each part separately and then put it together when we got there.
“At first people thought the small cake with fruit on at the front was the birthday cake, they didn’t realise the whole thing including the crate was all part of it.
“They were amazed.”
