Here is the perfect place for a bit of train-ing – carriages kitted out to resemble sporting venues.
Athletics tracks, swimming pools, football pitches and tennis courts have been mocked up inside the trains to give people the sensation of being in the thick of the action.
The carriages have been transformed on the MRT Songshan-Xindian Line in Taipei for the upcoming Summer Universiade 2017 in August.
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event for students organised by the International University Sports Federation.
A spokesperson said: “Each carriage has been redecorated as a different sporting venue for engaging photos.
“Carriages have been redesigned as tracks, football fields, basketball courts, swimming pools and a stadium.
“When passengers sit or stand in these carriages at certain positions, they can take engaging photos with optical illusions. It’s an inviting and memorable experience.
“Universiade information is attached to each handle so passengers can understand the sports’ rules well.
“The Department of Information and Tourism encourages visitors and residents to take public transportation to the games, as an environmentally friendly and energy efficient way to enjoy Universiade.”
