Rob Palmer, 63, full time wildlife photographer and guide took the action shots across his home state of Colorado, USA.

Rob’s love for burrowing owls has kept him returning to see them during June and July each year with this particular bunch putting on a real show for him.

Rob said: “Burrowing owls are my favourite bird and I have studied them for ten years. These are a few funny photos of the owls that I’ve taken.

“The funniest picture to me is the one where the owlet has his legs splayed behind him because it’s an unusual position and very cute as well.

“I am always trying to get them in their funniest positions. Every day I set up and photograph for two to three hours and wait patiently for them to give me some magic.

“I plan to continue photographing the owls and all types of wildlife especially as I will be travelling for the next two years around the US to get a large variety of animals.”
