This is the moment a micro drone is rescued from a building – by a fellow drone.

Dillon J Stucky, 27, crashed his mini drone on his neighbour’s roof top in LA, California, and was unable to fly it back down.

Despite being advised not to retrieve it himself, Dillon quickly got to work and flew a bigger drone to rescue it.

Dillon said: “After getting my mini drone stuck I called the building manager who told me not to attempt to retrieve it myself using a ladder.

“They gave me a number for their contractor but that was going to cost money, so I used my initiative and that’s when operation drone rescue via drone commenced.

“It did take a few attempts but in the end I was more than pleased with the result.”
