This is the moment an incredible rainbow HALO surrounded the shadow of a plane in the clouds above Europe.
The shadowy image of the plane high above the clouds was circled by a colourful halo – produced by light interacting with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.
The stunning snap was taken by photographer Julia Sundukova, from Russia, during a flight to Amsterdam.
As her plane turned, its shadow was reflected in the clouds and surrounded by a bright glowing rainbow halo.
Julia, 33, said: “I took this picture from the plane, just before landing in Amsterdam.

“I always like the clouds, sky and sun, and often photograph them from the plane.
“But nothing could have predicted this beauty.
“Luckily I had my camera ready when I spotted this!

“The plane was turning a little bit, and as it did the rainbow halo with a plane in the middle appeared.
“I’ve never seen anything like it before.
