A black squirrel which appears to show of its ripped torso stunned a keen photographer outside a church.
Flo McEwan, 52, a magistrate, spotted the unusual rodent when she decided to explore an old churchyard.
Flo, from Berkshire could not believe her eyes when she saw a squirrel with black fur that resembled a six pack, confidently stare back at her in Baldock.
Flo from said: “I have never seen a black squirrel before so it was quite a surprise, then he sat up and it was almost as if he was proudly showing me his six pack.
“I was travelling home from a photography trip in Suffolk when I stopped in Baldock to have a look around an old churchyard.
“That fabulous little squirrel came bounding through the graveyard and stopped right in front of me.
“He wasn’t at all scared and sat in front of me for ages before running off.
“I have since learned that some squirrels have black fur because of a genetic mutation which stops their fur from turning grey.
“Apparently the mutation can also make black squirrels more aggressive, but this little chap was very friendly and not at all worried to be so close to me.”
