This adorable dolphin calf was pictured jumping for joy as it leapt 15 foot into the air.

The excitable youngster performed around a dozen jumps in quick succession, effortlessly leaping higher and higher out of the water.

Alister Kemp, from Evanton, Ross-shire, was visiting Chanonry Point in the Scottish Highlands in the hope of photographing bottlenose dolphins, but had to wait three hours to capture the calf’s acrobatic display.

The 55-year-old said: “It breached around a dozen times in short succession on this occasion.

“I would estimate that it was breaching at least 15 feet out of the water.

“It only lasted a couple of minutes but it’s always great to see especially after a long wait.”
