With recent laws dictating that pubs, bars and restaurants in Scotland must now close at 10pm as part of a COVID curfew, many Scots across the land were left out in the cold during the dramatic finale of the Scotland v Israel Euro qualifier game.
Footage recorded on October 8th by the manager of Nico’s Cafe Bar in Glasgow, shows a group of patrons that had been ushered out of their local watering hole by 10pm.
But with the game still on the TV in clear view, the crowd lingered outside, watching the shoot-out through the windows of the bar.
With Scotland narrowly beating out Israel 5-3 on penalties, the viral video shows the moment the group began to celebrate their nation’s victory as they cheered out in the cold.
