This is the amazing moment a ballet dancer performed the introduction to ‘Swan Lake’ in the street amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
Dancer Victoria Aletta, 21, from the Ballet de Barcelona ballet company, was filmed pirouetting and capturing the attention of passers-by in the Gracia neighbourhood of Barcelona.
On April 29, the International Dance Day, Victoria danced to the opening notes of Tchaikovsky’s ‘Swan Lake’ ballet, while wearing a white tutu, and grabbed the attention of a few people in the neighbourhood.
The amazing video has since gone viral online, with over one million views.
Victoria said: “The idea came to me as I was talking to my neighbours about the International Dance Day.
“They suggested I should dance in the streets of this colourful neighbourhood.
“I didn’t think the video would be so successful, my intention was to support working artists during this difficult time.”
