A Chicago-based man, who has been working remotely during this lockdown period, has recreated part of his morning commute in his apartment.
Setting off at 8am sharp on April 28, comedian Tom Simmermaker, 25, went as far as creating his own card reader, which he used upon entering the “station” and ran towards his bathroom-turned-train cart as the door began to close.
He said: “I’m working remotely right now and getting all too familiar with my apartment. I thought it would be fun to make a video where I pretend my bathroom is a train car, as a nod to my old commute.”
Various transit companies have shared the video on Twitter, with one even roasting him for wearing a backpack.
“If I had known it was going to be shared this much, I would have at least cleaned my mirror. But I’m glad people have enjoyed it!”
